I find this to be a remarkable book. Published in two volumes, it is one of the most complete treatises on the subject of fractures I have seen.
In their foreward Drs Rockwood and Green outline their aim: "to produce a comprehensive up-to-date reference book on fractures" and to take into account the many changes in fracture management since the last comprehensive text on fractures was published 14 years previously. At this they have succeeded admirably.
To assist them in their monumental task, which took some two years to complete, they have drawn on the talents and abilities of 26 contributors from the United States and Canada. Each is a recognized authority in his assigned area—and each appears to have spared no pains to record in maximum detail the body of knowledge related to his subject in an organized, practical, and easily understood way.
