Intermittent Continuous Positive Airway Pressure by MaskIts Use in the Treatment of Atelectasis

Abstract

• We used continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) applied intermittently by face mask to treat a patient with falling Pao2 secondary to atelectasis. The Pao2 increased with each successive CPAP treatment.
