Abstract

This is a compendium of 251 multiple-choice questions, each with a corresponding suggested correct answer, a brief critique that elaborates on the answer, and a current reference. Copyrighted in 1985, this softback book was conceived as a method to help review the voluminous vascular literature from the two previous years. One hundred seventy-three of the most interesting and informative texts and journal articles have been referenced as the resources for the questions.

The father-son author team has invoked the editorial expertise of Drs Rutherford, Kempczinski, and Schwartz to produce a smartly challenging quasi—board examination. Questions are divided into six chapters, highlighting vascular hemodynamics, pharmacology, diagnostic modalities, atherosclerosis, grafts, trauma, aneurysms, aortic and peripheral occlusive disease, complications of surgery, carotid disease, renovascular and portal hypertension, venous disease, fibrinolytic therapy, lymphedema, thoracic outlet syndrome, and sympathectomy.

The questions address a wide spectrum of critical and timely issues. Selection of the correct answer
