In the Review titled “Breast Cancer: A Review for the General Surgeon” published online August 28, 2013, and in the October print issue of JAMA Surgery (2013;148[10]:971-979. doi:10.1001/jamasurg.2013.3393), an incorrect number appeared in the text. On page 975, the last sentence of the first paragraph should have read as follows: “To reiterate, in patients with tumors less than 5 cm, clinically lymph node–negative axilla, less than 3 positive lymph nodes, and treatment with breast-conserving therapy (to include whole-breast radiation) and adjuvant systemic hormonal therapy or chemotherapy, completion axillary lymph node dissection can be safely omitted.” This article was corrected online.
