The ARCHIVES is pleased to announce the appointment of the following distinguished surgeons to its Editorial Board.
David S. Mulder, MD, FACS, received his MD degree from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, magna cum laude. He received an MSc in experimental surgery from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Dr Mulder is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, Manchester, Mass. He is professor of surgery, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, and surgeon-in-chief, Montreal General Hospital.
J. Patrick O'Leary, MD, FACS, received his MD degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, where he was elected to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an internship at the Boston City Hospital, Boston, Mass, and completed a surgical residency at the University of Florida. Dr O'Leary is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is presently the Isidore Cohn Jr, MD, Professor and chair of the Department of Surgery at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans.
Steven D. Wexner, MD, FACS, FRCSEd received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, New York, NY, and an MD degree from Cornell University, New York City, NY. His general surgery training was completed at the Roosevelt Hospital, New York, followed by a colorectal fellowship at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Dr Wexner is certified in both general and colorectal surgery and is presently chair, Department of Colorectal Surgery, and chief of staff at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Ft Lauderdale, Fla.
Robert W. Thompson, MD, FACS, received a BA degree from Hope College, Holland, Mich, in chemistry and biology (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and an MD degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His internship and residency were performed at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital, Boston, Mass, followed by a fellowship in general vascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr Thompson is certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds the General Vascular Certificate. He is presently associate professor of surgery, radiology, and cell biology and physiology at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, Mo.
